After growing up with generational trauma and learning to survive through caretaking, Ellie found herself trapped inside another family system that protected the person harming her and punished her for speaking up.
As the danger increased, Ellie realized that leaving was the only way to keep herself alive and give her children a chance at safety. However, separation brought a new fight through legal abuse, financial devastation, institutional failures, and the continued weaponization of her children.
